Interlibrary Loan is a service that Phillipsburg Public Library offers when the Library’s collection does not have the material you need.
After checking the PFPL catalog and not locating the item you need, you can request an item through interlibrary loan. Call the library at 908-454-3712 and ask for the reference department, and we will be happy to process your loan.
You can also submit an interlibrary loan request directly, through the JerseyCat statewide catalog. You will need your library card to submit an online request.
We cannot process interlibrary loans on titles that we own, or on new titles (six months old or newer). If the item you want to read is too new to borrow from another library, you can submit a suggestion for purchase, and we will do our best to buy the item, if it is within our budget and within the scope of our collection.
Very occasionally, a lending library may charge a fee for an interlibrary loan. We will not process such a request without your approval.
